How to Update Your Desktop LWD App
Updating your desktop app to the latest version (v4.6) is as easy as a few clicks:
- From your desktop, visit the DigiTrak LWD app on the Microsoft App Store. This link will take you directly there >
- Click the blue button that says “Update”
That’s it! Your maps will now continue to run as smoothly as before.
Why This Is Update So Important?
Microsoft is making changes to their mapping software, which will break the map features in your desktop LWD app. These changes are due to occur on June 30, 2025.
We proactively dealt with this change and in February released a new version (version 4.6) of the app that you can get easily to prevent any loss of functionality or bugs. As long as you install this new version, everything will continue to run smoothly for you.
What Happens If I Don’t Update My Desktop App?
If you don’t update, you’ll lose the:
- App’s map tab (where you normally see the red location pins)
- Satellite imagery in your data log PDFs
