Digital Control Incorporated (DCI) was founded in 1988 to develop an advanced HDD drill head locating system. From the start, DCI's continuing objective has been to offer the highest quality locating system on the market. This goal was first reached with the introduction in 1991 of the DigiTrak locating system, which represented a major improvement over existing products and set the standard for locating performance. DCI followed its success with the introduction of the Mark I, Mark II and Mark III models of the DigiTrak receiver.
From the beginning, DCI's founders, John Mercer and Peter Hambling, have worked to create state-of-the-art locating equipment by surrounding themselves with a group of top-notch individuals - some of whom are now recognized as key industry researchers and engineers. DCI's technical "engine" powers a company dedicated to building superior equipment and making work fun. DCI offers complete locating systems, including receivers, transmitters, remote displays, and data mapping systems.
DCI's technology and continuing commitment to maintaining its leading position in the industry is evidenced by the grant of over 55 United States patents and by a large number of pending applications. The patented antenna configuration contributes to making DigiTrak the most accurate and versatile HDD locating product on the market.
